Lydia and Laura Holstom were the sweetest twin girls the people of Carington, Maine had ever seen. As babies they both had beautiful blonde hair, but didn't look exactly alike. Just enough so that you could tell they were sisters.As they began to grow older, Lydia's hair managed to turn from a sweet blonde color, to a dark black much like her father's. That was just the beginning of the twins slowly becoming a bit more different then their family and townspeople expected.Laura would slowly become known as the "sweet" twin. She tended to do better in school, and was always the one to get her papers put on the refrigerator with a big bright A on them.Wearing girly clothes, are having her hair done was all the things Laura loved most, as did her mother who usually doted on her perhaps more then she should have.Lydia however, was known quickly as the "tomboy" twin. She played with the boys of the neighborhood instead of joining her sister in playing barbie dolls.She despised dressing up, and usually preferred going out and fishing with her Dad then going shopping with her Mom and sister.Despite all their differences, they were as close as peanut butter and jelly.

When they turned ten, they were both given necklaces by their parents for their birthday.Lydia was given a silver lock necklace, and Laura a small silver key necklace, that fit perfectly with her sisters.Their parents told them that without the key, the lock would never open, and without the lock, the key would have nothing. It was the same for the two of them.They were sisters,friends, and were meant to stay so.Since that day, neither sister took their necklace off.

They remained close all thought elementary school and middle school.They had other friends, but none could compare to the bond both of them shared.None at least until they reached high school .In their Sophomore year, Laura found the one thing Lydia had never even once thought of. A boyfriend. Christopher Carol was Lydia's worst nightmare. Handsome, smart, and funny all wrapped up into one package exclusively for her sister. Slowly the two twins began to spend less and less time together, Laura out with her new beau, and Lydia brooding or hanging out with the guys around the neighborhood. Lydia barely knew Christopher, and certainly made no attempt to try even at her sisters pleading. He was the guy who took her away and somewhat "broke" their bond in her view.He was the cause of night full of fighting, and chaos in the Holstom household.But nothing would even compare until the cold December night when the sisters fighting would finally cease...forever.

Having been dating for two years, on the girls eighteenth birthday Laura announced that she and Christopher would be moving in together and eventually be man and wife.An argument ensued between the two sisters, and even their parents weren't able to successfully calm them down.Lydia was amazed and enraged her sister was preparing to spend the rest of her life with some guy she only met in high school?Only knew for two years? After hours of arguing Laura ran out from the house and straight into her car, insisting to drive over to Christopher's house to get away from all the fighting.Inside of the Holstom home Lydia and her parents would hear a loud crash and several screams from outside. As the three of them ran out into the snowy night, they would see Laura's car smashed into by a large truck, pieces of the window and car scattered about the black road.

She was taken to the hospital, with Lydia crying and holding on to her sisters cold hand as they drove in the ambulance.Minutes before the got their, her heart just stopped, ending it's beating and she was gone. All that was left was the small silver key necklace that the doctor gave Lydia before leaving them in the hospital waiting room.Shortly after their Dad called Chris and the boy who Lydia hated so much, came running into the waiting room with fearful eyes full of tears.There were no words exchanged,just the sound of Lydia's mother sobbing into her father's shoulder.It was over.

Slowly the family would try to pick up the pieces, prepare their now only daughter for college. After four months, they sent Lydia to University of Maine where it so happened Christopher had also been accepted into.Both of them silently blamed each other for Laura's death, but neither had the courage nor the heart to actually say it out loud.Now that they started college, and even have some of the same classes, talking was inevitable. But as Lydia would find out, Christopher isn't the devil she once thought he was.And Lydia wasn't the annoying chick that Chris once thought she was. There beginning to become of their feelings, and guilty thoughts have become a constant badger.Is this just a friendship? Or is it a...

6.)Romance is obviously encouraged,even if you don't play the main characters. Who says a friend and another friend can't find love?:)
